Abigail Grimstad (Emma)

Abigail GrimstadAbigail is very excited to be in her first show with Arouet, with such a great cast and crew. Previous shows include: Much Ado About Nothing at Seattle Shakespeare Company; The Three Musketeers, Spring Awakening, Blood Relations, and more, at Bellevue College; Dracula, The Curious Savage, Paul Sill’s Story Theater, and more, at Valley Center Stage. She is an avid Shakespeare lover and hopes to one day work with Shakespeare’s Globe. She sends huge thanks to Zandi, the cast and crew, her family,and her VCS fam.


Jared Holloway-Thomas (Joe)

Jared Holloway-Thomas (Joe)Jared is a classically trained actor with a BA in applied theatre from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts. He has been living in and working around the Seattle area for several years, having contributed artistically to local area film & theatre. Recently appeared in Seattle Immersive Theatre’s Supraliminal. Jared also does voice over and dialect coaching. Currently between representation. 😉


Eleanor Moseley (Mary)

Eleanor MoseleyEleanor is delighted to be working on this project with this talented team. Seattle stage appearances include The Art of Racing in the Rain (Book-It Repertory); The Way of All Fish (The Little Theatre); The Familiar (Eclectic Theater); Ladies of the Corridor, Come Back the Five and Dime, Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean, and Last Summer at Bluefish Cove (Hugo House with Woman Seeking, a Theatre Co.) Recent film projects: Children of Light, The Dark Horse, and Regulate. More distant history includes theatre and film work in New York, North Carolina, and the Bay area. She trained at HB Studios in NY, ACT/San Francisco, and more recently at Freehold, with John Jacobsen, Arne Zaslove, Matt Smith, and with Charles Waxberg at Theatre 9/12. An aspiring writer, her short play The High Road was staged in last summer’s Seattle Fringe Fest, and What Remains was presented at the NW Playwrights’ Alliance recent Literary Salon. John Murray (John)

John Murray (John)John a seasoned Seattle actor is delighted to debut this very affecting play stateside. John has performed at numerous Seattle area theaters and is a multiple footlight award recipient. Favorite roles include Slim (Of Mice and Men), Dennis (Mauritius), Restin (Language Archives), Lee (True West), Cliff (The Woolgatherer), Sr. Angela (The Nuns), and George (Of Mice and Men).Television credits include NBC’s Grimm and Northern Exposure. John can be heard regularly on radio’s Jim French’s Imagination Theater as Lt. Dutcher in The Harry Nileseries and Det. Insp. Gregson in the Sherlock Holmes canon.


Kate Witt (Elizabeth)

Kate Witt (Elizabeth)Kate was last seen on the Arouet stage as Sandy in Don Juan In Chicago. Most recently, she appeared throughout Seattle parks as Casca in Wooden O’s production of Julius Caesar. She has worked with Arouet, ArtsWest, Wooden O, SecondStory Repertory, Puget Sound Revels, New Century Theatre Company, and Seattle Shakespeare Company. Favorite roles include Nancy Gordon in Third, Emilie in Emilie: La Marquise Du Châtelet Defends Her Life Tonight, Beggar Woman in Sweeney Todd, Alex in On The Verge, Linda in Blood Brothers, Feste in Twelfth Night, Catherine in The Foreigner, Ruth in Blithe Sprit, Mrs. Segstrom in A Little Night Music, as a principal in Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris, and as an ensemble member in The Adding Machine. Creative and Production Team

Zandi Carlson (Director)

Zandi Carlson (Director)Zandi couldn’t be happier to be returning to Arouet, having performed as Paige in The Gene Pool. Zandi recently directed STAGEright’s production of A New Brain, and was the assistant director to Theresa Thuman on Sound Theatre Company’s production of Holiday of Errors. As a performer, Zandi has been involved in the Gregory Award Winning production of Sound Theatre’s The Wild Party, Seattle Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing, and many more throughout the Pacific Northwest. Zandi currently serves as the Director of Education for Bainbridge Performing Arts and has been a teaching artists in Seattle since graduating from Oklahoma City University with a BFA in Acting.


Mariajosé Barrera (Assistant Director)

MariaJose BarreraMariajosé had her first introduction to being an active theatre member presenting an original monologue for the Latino Theater Projects. She has since been able to be a part of Anna in the Tropics and Lawfully Wedded. Work she has done with the Arouet family includes assistant directing The Hen Night Epiphany and producing The Tempermentals, The Brick and The Rose, and Don Juan in Chicago. She is excited to continue working with Arouet and to be part of The Long Road as assistant director.


Joshua Jon (Producer)

Joshua JonJoshua is a director-playwright-actor who made his Arouet debut last year directing Don Juan in Chicago. Joshua has also had the amazing opportunity to have assistant directed Life is a Dream (Ghostlight Theatricals) and Supraliminal (Seattle Immersive Theatre), as well as presenting a portion of his adaptation of The Picture of Dorian Gray for Arouet’s Arts Crush event, Conversations We Have. Joshua will be directing again this summer with Sidewinders (Fantastic Z); a transgender, existential Western. Originally hailing from Salt Lake, Utah, Joshua has been independently producing his work around the Rockies before finally arriving in the Emerald City. Joshua holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from The University of Idaho and is inspired by his friends, pop art, and the American West.


Sarah Pappin (Stage Manager)

Sarah Pappin (Stage Manager)Sarah has her B.S. in Theatre Arts from the University of Idaho. She has previously worked for Idaho Repertory Theatre and Theatre West.


Catherine Crockett (Costume Design)

Catherine Crockett (Costume Design)Catherine is very excited to be involved with this powerful production of The Long Road! This is her first time working with Arouet, and her third time working with the fabulous Zandi Carlson. Previous works include A New Brain, All in the Timing, and Calling Nancy Drew with STAGEright. Catherine was also fortunate to work as the head of wardrobe at Seattle University’s Lee Center for the Arts. Catherine would like to think her Aunt Joanie for letting her borrow her sewing machine 7 years ago!


Renée Cyr Johnson (Dramaturge)

Renee Cyr JohnsonRenée is thrilled to be working with such a talented cast and crew. She most recently assistant directed the world premiere production of The Fierce Urgency of Now. Previously she spent her summer stage managing Honk and Annie at Kitsap Forest Theatre. Other companies she has worked with include Driftwood, Tapproot, Stone Soup, SecondStory Rep, and Arouet (where she is a company member). She would like to thank you for supporting local theatre. Also check out Death By Chocolate at Driftwood which Renée is currently assistant stage managing. Up next Renée will be attending grad school pursing her PhD in theatre.


Jessica Kiely (Dialect Coach)

Jessica Kiely, Dialect CoachJessica is thrilled to be working on her first production with Arouet. She is a graduate of the Acting program at Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts (PCPA), and is about to graduate from Cornish College of the Arts with a BFA in Musical Theatre. She has performed professionally in the San Francisco Bay Area and on the central coast of California, and loves being part of the Seattle theatre community.


Micah Kolding (Properties Design)

Micah Kolding (Properties Design)Micah is a writer and occasional actor, having appeared on stage for Seattle Immersive Theatre and Studio 4 Seattle.


Patrick Mulligan (Sound Design)

Patrick Mulligan (Sound Design)Patrick is crassly joyful for the opportunity to be designing for Arouet’s production of The Long Road. Patrick is a recent graduate from the University of Idaho where he received a Bachelors of Science in Theatre Arts. Patrick has previously worked with The Livermore Shakespeare Festival, The Idaho Repertory Theatre, Northwest Public Radio, 89.3FM KUOI and has produced a literary podcast called Two Pints In — Storytelling. Currently, Patrick is working for 90.3FM KEXP and is pursuing a continued career in celebrating music, storytelling and the beautiful artists behind it all.


Zanna Paulson (Lighting Design)

Zanna Paulson (Lighting Design)Zanna is new to the Seattle theatre community, having spent the previous 10 years lighting stages across the country. She vaunts a wide variety of experience in venues and technology, but is particularly proud of her efforts in tailoring original plays and musicals. Zanna also enjoys experimenting with light in photography and volunteering her skills for companies such as Equity Fights AIDS (Broadway Across America), Phillips Lighting and local education centers.


Kim Rosin (Set Design)

Kim Rosin (Set Design)Kim is delighted to be working with the talented crew and actors of The Long Road. Kim is endlessly inspired by her creative collaboration with Arouet. She previously designed their sets for The House of Bernarda Alba, The Temperamentals, Don Juan in Chicago and The Fierce Urgency of Now. She has designed other sets in Seattle and Vancouver BC. Kim is an artist but is also passionate about theatre and design and loves incorporating her many interests in the fields of theater, fabric and industrial design.


Talle Selhorst (Assistant Stage Manager)

Talle Selhorst (Assistant Stage Manager)Talle is making her Seattle theater scene debut. Talle moved here from Baltimore in 2011 to pursue all things Pacific Northwest: coffee, compost, and lots of live art. She hopes this will be the first of many more productions with Arouet.
