Colleen Carey (Woman 1)

Colleen has been working as a professional actress since the age of five. Having trained at the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts and North Carolina School for the Arts, she returned to Seattle to be near family. (A million thanks to David, Aidan, Sue, Pat & my very large clan). Recent film and theater roles include: Miss O’Donnell in the film Different Drummers (now playing in AMC theaters) and The Fraus in All Through the Night at ArtsWest. Cynthia Geary (Woman 2)

Cynthia’s Seattle theatre credits include Book-It Repertory productions of Giant, The Awakening, A Confederacy of Dunces and Truth Like the Sun. She is a member of Theatre 9/12, and has performed in their productions of Blithe Spirit and The Equation. Cynthia is best known to TV audiences for her Emmy nominated role, Shelley Tambo, on the series Northern Exposure. Her feature film credits include 8 Seconds, Smoke Signals, Expiration Date, Crimes of the Past, Ira Finkelstein’s Christmas and soon to be released Nothing Against Life.

Kelly Morgan Stevens (Menacing Presence)

Kelly Morgan has stage managed for Cafe Nordo, Moisture Festival, and The Degenerate Art Ensemble. In her spare time, she is delighted to work at Cafe Flora, make performance art in her garage, and pet her exceptionally soft dog.

Creative Team

Paul Budraitis (Director/Scenic Design/Sound Design)

Paul is a Seattle-based director, actor, writer, and solo performer, as well as a teacher of acting, stage movement, and interdisciplinary art. In Seattle, he has worked with Seattle Repertory Theatre, On the Boards, New City Theatre, the Degenerate Art Ensemble, Annex Theatre, Balagan Theatre, and Cornish College of the Arts, among others. He directed the premiere of Elizabeth Heffron’s Bo-Nita at Seattle Repertory Theatre, and his solo performance (IN)STABILITY was commissioned and produced by On the Boards . His production of David Mamet’s Edmond received a Seattle Times “Footlight Award” as one of the best productions of 2010.

Paul was the recipient of a State Department Fulbright grant to study theatre directing at the Lithuanian Music and Theatre Academy (LMTA) in Vilnius, Lithuania, where he earned his master’s degree under the mentorship of visionary theatre director Jonas Vaitkus. In Lithuania, Paul worked with the National Drama Theatre of Lithuania, the State Youth Theatre of Lithuania, the Kaunas State Drama Theatre, and Oskaras Koršunovas/Vilnius City Theatre (OKT). He assisted directors Jonas Vaitkus and Oskaras Koršunovas, and as an actor, he collaborated with acclaimed Finnish director Kristian Smeds on a contemporary re-imagining of Chekhov’s The Cherry Orchard, which was performed in Lithuania, as well as in Vienna as part of the Vienna Festival. Most recently, Paul created a new adaptation of Chekhov’s Three Sisters, which he directed at Cornish College of the Arts in October 2014.

Roy Arauz (Co-Producer)

With a background dance, choreography, and stage management, Roy is Arouet’s Artistic Director and directs around the Puget Sound. Locally he has worked in various capacities at ArtsWest, Book-It Repertory, The Driftwood Players, SecondStory Repertory, Snoqualmie Falls Forest Theatre, and Studio East, among others. He is also Artistic Director at Seattle Musical Theatre. Recent directing credits include The Fierce Urgency of Now (Arouet), La Mariposa (Book-It Repertory Education Program), and Life is a Dream (Ghost Light Theatricals).

Joshua Jon (Co-Producer)

Joshua is a director-playwright-actor who made his Arouet debut last year directing Don Juan in Chicago. Joshua has also had the amazing opportunity to have assistant directed Life is a Dream (Ghostlight Theatricals) and Supraliminal (Seattle Immersive Theatre), as well as presenting a portion of his adaptation of The Picture of Dorian Gray for Arouet’s Arts Crush event, Conversations We Have. Joshua will be directing again this summer with Sidewinders (Fantastic Z); a transgender, existential Western. Originally hailing from Salt Lake, Utah, Joshua has been independently producing his work around the Rockies before finally arriving in the Emerald City. Joshua holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from The University of Idaho and is inspired by his friends, pop art, and the American West.

Sarah Pappin (Stage Manager)

Sarah has her B.S. in Theatre Arts from the University of Idaho. She has previously worked for Idaho Repertory Theatre and Theatre West.

Deborah Skorstad (Costuming)

You have most likely seen Deborah’s work on many, many of Seattle’s stages including but not limited to: Seattle Opera, the Village Theater, Seattle Shakespeare Company, Taproot Theater, Seattle Children’s Theater and Circus Contraption. She is also a Costumer Lead Designer and teacher with the UW School of Drama, both graduate and undergraduate.
